Michelle DeNault has been the Senior Benefits Administrator for Wawa since June of 2010. She manages the Health and Welfare benefits program for Wawa Associates and Retirees and focuses on continued improvement of communication of benefits changes and information to the Associates. After attending the College for Value Based Purchasing of Health Benefits, Ms. DeNault became passionate about the need for transparency for consumers (the employee and employer) of the health system as well as the need for improving the quality and safety of their care. She was instrumental in having Wawa sign as the first employer member of the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (GPBCH) and has served on the GPBCH Board of Directors as a founding member. Previously Ms. DeNault worked in Benefits for AstraZeneca for more than 11 years and prior to that for AHERF (Hahnemann University, Allegheny Hospital, Graduate Hospital, St. Christopher’s, Medical College of Pennsylvania etc.) for more than 10 years in the Benefits department in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh hospitals. She holds a Paralegal degree from Wesley College.
