We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ray Fabius has agreed to serve as Consulting Medical Director for the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health. Dr. Fabius recently returned to his start-up, HealthNEXT – a GPBCH affiliate member company dedicated to the development of organizational cultures of health. Dr. Fabius’ previous positions include serving as Chief Medical Officer of Truven Health Analytics, President and Chief Medical Officer for I-trax/CHD Meridian, and Global Medical Leader for General Electric, where he was responsible for the health and wellness of over 330,000 employees worldwide. Dr. Fabius, a pediatrician by training, is a faculty member of the American College of Physician Executives, which has recognized him as a Distinguished Fellow, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

In his Consulting Medical Director role, Dr. Fabius will advise the Coalition on program development and implementation, providing expertise on matters requiring clinical knowledge, and the insights of an experienced physician executive. We hope to draw on his expertise as we continue to develop programs that support employers in promoting a culture of health in the workplace, and that foster high-quality, safe, and cost-effective healthcare. In addition to supporting the Coalition’s initiatives, Dr. Fabius has offered to provide guidance to Coalition employer member organizations who are seeking advice on matters relevant to his expertise, as his time allows.
