PHILADELPHIA, PA— (January 19, 2016)— A record 30 hospitals (out of 55) participated in the 2015 Leapfrog Group Hospital Survey in southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, where the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (GPBCH) serves as a Leapfrog “regional roll-out” in partnership with the Delaware Valley Health Care Coalition (DVHCC). This is a ten-fold increase since 2012 when only three hospitals were reporting in the Leapfrog survey — a national initiative that encourages hospitals to voluntarily disclose data on safety practices and outcomes. Nationwide, a grand total of 1,750 out of 2,500 hospitals completed the Leapfrog Hospital Survey in 2015, a 17% increase over 2014.
