PHILADELPHIA, PA— (March 3, 2022)— The Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (GPBCH) today announced ten area hospitals to receive the 2021 GPBCH Hospital Quality & Safety Award at an inaugural virtual event on March 3rd. Hosted by GPBCH and the Health Care Improvement Foundation, this event brings together healthcare leaders and employers to discuss the value of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey and Safety Grade in driving patient safety and to recognize top performing hospitals in the region.
“We are excited to launch this inaugural Hospital Awards Program to thank hospitals in our region for their commitment to transparency and to recognize top-performing hospitals based on their 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Survey and Safety Grade results,” states GPBCH President and CEO Neil Goldfarb. “GPBCH's employer members represent more than 1.5 million lives, and
have made healthcare quality and safety a priority in their benefits plans.”
GPBCH serves as the Leapfrog Regional Leader for southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, and also tracks Leapfrog data for southern New Jersey, where the New Jersey Healthcare Quality Institute serves as Leapfrog Regional Leader.
