Director of Member Services and Communications

Overview: The Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health is a membership organization helping employers to improve the value of their health benefits expenditures, by identifying and implementing best practices to maintain employee health and productivity and ensuring that when health care is needed it is accessible, affordable, equitable, high-quality and safe. The Director of Member Services and Communications supports member recruitment and retention, and member communications, and manages selected projects and programs seeking to advance GPBCH’s mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Member Services

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employer members and partner organizations.
  • Manage membership operations including onboarding, renewals, invoicing, and recordkeeping.
  • Conduct regular outreach to assess member needs and support engagement in GPBCH programs.
  • Maintain accurate membership data within CRM systems and prepare membership reports for leadership.
  • Support member recruitment activities and assist with development of membership materials.

Communications

  • Develop and implement GPBCH’s communications strategy to support member engagement and organizational visibility.
  • Produce newsletters, member updates, event announcements, and other written communications.
  • Manage website content, member portal postings, and digital communication channels.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and adherence to GPBCH’s mission, brand, and style guidelines.
  • Draft and edit reports, summaries, presentations, and external communications as needed.

Programs and Events

  • Support planning and execution of GPBCH workgroups, webinars, roundtables, and the annual conference.
  • Coordinate member communications related to events, including invitations, reminders, and follow-up materials.
  • Assist with logistics, documentation, and evaluation of member programs.

Organizational Support

  • Provide input on strategic initiatives related to member value, communications, and program development.
  • Represent GPBCH at external meetings, conferences, and partner events.
  • Collaborate with staff and external partners to develop resources and tools for employer members.

This is a full-time position, offering competitive salary, health benefits, a 401k plan, and other benefits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Education and/or experience related to employee benefits, healthcare and/or healthcare cost management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a positive disposition and sense of humor
  • Experience with Hubspot or comparable CRM Platforms preferred

Reports to: President and CEO

Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 plus a generous employer paid benefits package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, 401k Match and PTO.
