Guest Biographies:
Lindsey Schapiro, Associate Director, Peterson Health Technology Institute (PHTI)
Lindsey Schapiro leads evidence-based evaluations of healthcare technologies to improve outcomes and reduce costs at PHTI. In her role, she oversees digital health company engagement and manages report production. Lindsey also oversees PHTI’s Purchaser Advisory Council, an advisory body which brings together leading health plans, employers, and health systems. Before joining PHTI, Lindsey worked at NORC at the University of Chicago, a nonpartisan research organization, where she provided strategic policy analysis and insights to clients across the health care industry.
Alexander Pfau, Vice President of Health Solutions Analytics and Actuarial Market Leader for Philadelphia, Aon
Alex Pfau is a Vice President and Local Analytics Leader in Aon’s Health Solutions Consulting practice, based in the Philadelphia, PA office. His primary responsibilities include managing the Philadelphia market Analytics and Actuarial team and overseeing the actuarial work within the market. In addition, he provides health and welfare consulting services and financial analyses to a variety of clients. His projects include self-insured and fully insured medical plan projections, budget planning, plan design modeling, incurred but not received claims liability development, employer group waiver plan (EGWP) analysis, and RFP financial analysis. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in actuarial mathematics from Bryant University (Rhode Island), is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and maintains a Health and Life insurance license.
